*Good Morning from your SMS Civil Rights Team! Each year on March 31, the world observes Transgender Day of Visibility to raise awareness about transgender people. It is a day to celebrate the lives and contributions of trans people, while also drawing attention to the poverty, discrimination, and violence the community faces. While we have made significant progress in recent years, with more visibility than ever before, we are still fighting for basic human rights for the Trans community. Today and every day, we must celebrate all trans and non-binary people everywhere and combat disinformation, discrimination and hate impacting our community.
