Sanford High School’s band showed out at the Maine Music Educators’ Association High School Instrumental State Jazz Festival at Lake Region High School last weekend.
Sanford’s school jazz ensemble received a silver medal, while its after-school jazz ensemble and combo collected bronze medals.
Several students also received a rating of 1, which is the highest rating, for the improvisation solos.
Those students include Hannah Paterson, Quang Lam, Tim McGee, Gabe Saucier, Keaghan Gagnon, Mikayla Adair, Austin Glidden, Lydia Treadwell, and Joey Blanchette.
