Seniors in Sanford Regional Technical Center's cosmetology program were recently tasked with a unique challenge to create a themed set of nails, each representing a different SRTC program.
This year's theme was various SRTC programs, which were chosen at random.
Before diving into the creative process, students prepared by researching their assigned program, visiting the space, and interviewing the instructor.
The student's artistic process was a journey of creativity and refinement. They began by drawing out their designs, which were then reworked as needed.
Each nail was meticulously covered with either nail polish or paint, and a 3-D aspect, hand-made by the student, was added. Additionally, the set must tell the story of the program they selected.
